Dames and Daughters Series: Jen and MacKenzie

"A daughter is a miracle that never ceases to be miraculous." - anonymous

Welcome back to another week of our Dames and Daughters series!

This week we are featuring Jen and MacKenzie! Jen is the wife to Ken and mom of 5 kiddos - 3 of which are daughters! Today though, we are just featuring her with her oldest child/daughter - MacKenzie!

Jen grew up all over the US but considers herself a southern girl having lived here for the past 25 years - 13 of those being in Alabama! (She added a #rolltide....her words. Not mine. #wareagle ;)) She played soccer in college at Liberty University which is the same place she met her husband. Her and her husband were missionaries in Costa Rica for 3 years and she sings on the praise team at church. She keeps herself very active and busy busing around all of her children to their many events and extra-curricular activities. After the eldest daughter MacKenzie (16) she has a son Micah (12), twins Sienna and Sydney (11) and their youngest is Trey (9)!

MacKenzie is 16 and is in the 10th grade. She keeps her schedule full just like her momma! She is involved in her youth group, plays volleyball, babysits, and loves broadway musicals (a girl after my own heart!). She always keeps a pretty smile on her face and is great with kids also.

We loved the way Jen and Mackenzie styled their outfits for the shoot. Jen is wearing our Burgundy Blush Ruffle Top ($30) under our Natural Crochet Midi Length Vest (on sale for $29.99) Both of these items are available online and in store! MacKenzie is wearing our Black Cross Front Top ( $28.50) with a pair of our fleece lined leggings (only available in store). Don't they just look lovely?!

We asked Jen and MacKenzie a few questions so you could get to know them better! Here are their answers:

Which would you prefer - three wishes after five years or one wish right now?

Jen: 3 wishes after 5 years because I would have time to think about it.

What "critter" scares you the most?

     MacKenzie: Cockroaches

If you HAD to change your name, what would you change it to?

Jen: I always wanted to be Sabrina from Charlie’s Angels when I was growing up, so I’m going to stick with Sabrina.

If you could have any super power, what would it be?
     MacKenzie: Teleportation

What do you like best about your daughter?

Jen: There are so many things I like about MacKenzie!  She’s tall, she’s got awesome hair, she’s thoughtful…but what I like the best about her is the way she is a quiet leader that has her eyes focused on Jesus and is trying to live that out everyday.

What do you like best about your mom?
MacKenzie: I like that I can tell her anything and that she always has really good advice

Thanks ladies for letting us capture your pictures and write about you!

~Jess
